With the rapid development of cloud computing,server virtualization,network technology as the important part has spread significantly.Software Defined Networking technology is born under this background.The purpose of the traditional network architecture is to connect multiple computers to achieve resource sharing and information exchange,but the network business tends to diversify.The technology of big data and cloud computing is driven,which makes the traditional network technology inadequate.The software defined network architecture decouples the control plane and data plan in traditional switches and routers.The network is managed by one or more centralized controllers,which can achieve the network configuration and management,programmable network and enable innovation in network.At the same time,the data center as a cloud computing IT infrastructure,data center interconnect and the application of Overlay network technology,the tunnel technology is on an important position.In the traditional data center network,IP address is a serious problem,there are IPv6,IPv4 protocol information isolated island,the configuration and maintenance of complex,the existence of business isolation,the construction of experimental network workload.Based on the software defined network architecture in the southbound interface protocol and Ryu controller,I make the switch function of SDN-GRE.Through the Ryu controller,the switch of all the functions of the tunnel forwarding can be realized,decreasing the number of configuration instructions,the implementation of the flow table entries are saved,and the IP address conflict,IPv6 Island and access layer NAT to solve the problem.This paper firstly introduced research status of software defined network architecture,then explain the OpenFlow protocol composition and Ryu controller components,followed by an analysis of Generic Routing Encapsulation protocol.Finally according to the general routing protocol and combined with the OpenFlow protocol Ryu controller,I realize the switch function of SDN-GRE which has basic forwarding,traffic monitoring,REST API interface function.
