In order to solve the enormous pressure caused by explosive growth of mobile Internet data traffic to the wireless cellular network and further improve the network quality of users in hotspot and indoor areas, China first put forward LTE-Hi network system at the end of 2012, Ultra-dense smallcell deployments on a new and high frequency 3.5GHz to handle the network coverage in indoor and outdoor hotspot. Due to the use of new technology dynamic TDD and the Ultra-dense smallcell deployments, which will bring LTE-Hi network new different inter-cell interference among smallcells. If we can not deal with those interference well, it will cause damage performance degradation for LTE-Hi system, while the traditional inter-cell interference management algorithm can not be very good for LTE-Hi network. In this paper, we propose two new ICIC schemes to handle the inteference among smallcells in LTE-Hi network.Firstly, this paper introduces the interference type in LTE-Hi and the architecture of LTE-Hi network, and summarizes the key technologies used in LTE-Hi, especially, the common technologies of inter-cell interference coordination in wareless network.Secondly, this paper propose a novel smallcell clustering interference co-ordination algorithm for the uplink and downlink inter-cell serial interference caused by the use of dynamic TDD technology in LTE-Hi network, which considers the coupling loss of smallcells and the uplink and downlink load conditions of smallcell. In addition, this paper proposes a new Orthogonal Subframe Partitioning (OSP) and Adaptive Subframe Reuse (ASR) interference coordination algorithm for the problem of co-channel interference caused by Ultra-dense deployment of smallcells, in this algorithm, smallcells adaptively select their orthogonal subframes and reused subframes, according to the subframes configuration of the smallcells in their interference pool and their UEs’ SINR respectively.Finally, this paper builds the LTE-Hi system-level simulation platform based on the 3GPP R12 protocol with teammates, and simulates the proposed two interference coordination schemes on the platform. We compared the proposed algorithm with the traditional ICIC scheme and the ICIC scheme from reference.The simulation results show that the proposed Intra Cluster Interference Coordination schemes can greatly improve the average smallcell throughput and the average SINR of smallcell users (SUEs), as well as the fairness of SUEs.
