In recent years,the demand for wireless data communication is showing explosive growth.But in public hotspots and indoor hotspot that are covered with LTE network,resources of licensed spectrum are limited.The network capacity can easily reach the upper limit,which results in severe congestion of network.While operators are using Wi-Fi to share the network traffic,they also want to explore methods to apply LTE technology to unlicensed bands.Therefore LAA(Licensed-Assisted Access)becomes a study item in 3GPP Rel-13.In order to evaluate the effect of LAA technology on other technologies,such as Wi-Fi,this paper studies the coexistence performance of Wi-Fi with LAA.After introducing the design requirements and key technologies of LAA system,the performence of LAA co-existence with Wi-Fi system is provided through system level evaluation.This paper can provide the basis for the simulation of LAA in 3GPP Rel-13,supporting and promoting the development of LAA technology.The main contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly,this paper briefly introduces the research status of LAA technology and the key technology in LTE-Advanced system.This paper introduces the design targets and the technical requirements of the LAA system.And this paper gives the relevant analysis of the typical deployment scenarios,LBT mechanism and carrier selection mechanism of LAA.This paper describes methods of LAA system level evaluation,including the operation flow of the evaluation system,the main module design,the method of channel modeling and the main steps,the method of antenna modeling,and the method of distributing points.After that,this paper introduces the scenarios of LAA co-existence with Wi-Fi,shows the configuration of the evaluation parameters,and gives the performance analysis of the coexistence of Wi-Fi and LAA in different scenarios by system level evaluation.The evaluation results show that the introduction of LAA is not the perform,ance of the Wi-Fi system from the point of average UPT.In addition,suitable coexistence mechanism should be designed to ensure the fairness among LAA nodes of different operators.Finally,this paper summarizes the all the contents,and gives plan of the future work.
