Horticultural crops such as vegetables and fruits provide a wealth of vitamins for humans. The emergence of greenhouses makes these horticultural crops have rich output throughout the year to ensure the nutritional needs of every people in four seasons. However, environmental factors such as temperature, air humidity, soil moisture, soil conductivity and light intensity in the horticultural greenhouse that have a very important effect on the growth of horticultural crops. Therefore, it is very important to know the value of these parameters and their changes in time to increase crop yield and increase farmers’ income.It is in the context of the national key technology R&D program that designing an intelligent remote monitoring system for greenhouse crop with various technologies. The system realizes the real-time collection, transmission, reception,data storage and real-time access to the environmental information of the horticultural crops in the greenhouse. In order to make the research and the staff access to the data conveniently, a very friendly man-machine interface is used. The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)The implementation scheme of intelligent remote monitoring and control system for greenhouse horticulture crops was proposed, based on the analysis of research situation of remote monitoring system at home and abroad.(2)Designed a sensing network data-receiving device of the intelligent remote monitoring system for greenhouse crop that include part of software and hardware.(3) A gateway device and its GUI of the intelligent remote monitoring system for greenhouse crop was designed, which can send perceptual layer data to a communication network.(4)Design the server software and database of the intelligent remote monitoring system for greenhouse crop to receive and store the data from gateway.(5)Designed an information manangement platform of the system to provide users with a convenient man-machine interface to see the value of the greenhouse environment parameters and changes, the control system to control the sprinkler irrigation instructions and information management of other users.(6)System overall performance test,including test of sensing network data-receiving device, gateway device, and server software, database and information manangement platform of the system in order to ensure that the whole system can run reliably and stably.
