With the deepening change of our national cultural system,the press industry is also undergoing a new stage of development and competition between different press corporations is becoming increasingly fierce.The traditional press is now facing great challenges due to its own old and rigid structure,emergence of digital press,internet-induced new press,international press company’s entry to Chinese market and robust development of private press companies.For the 13th Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development,the press industry has reached a consensus in the areas of publishing renovation,upgrading service quality,cooperating and integrating with other industries and starting diversified development.With the new changes and guidelines in this industry,Ningxia Education Press,as a small and medium sized professional publishing company in northwest China,should be bravely embracing all challenges and grasping new opportunities.Guided by Industry Development Theory and Marketing Theory and based on previous research outcomes of marketing strategies of national and international companies,this study investigated marketing strategies of Ningxia Education Press.Specially it examined Ningxia Education Press operating environment,current marketing situation,diversified development and marketing characteristics of new digital press.The research methods included previous literature,case studies and my practical experiences.By combining theories with practical operation and through analysis of present situations and issues,the study summarized Ningxia Education Press strengths in resources and reputations and weaknesses of lacking development drives.The study also proposed practical and effective marketing methods and strategies to promote its marketing capabilities to its fullest.In addition,the study recommended that Ningxia Education Press be dedicated to its clients,transform previous brands,integrate traditional press with new digital press,upgrade service quality,extend service domains and carry out procedures to realize marketing strategies.This study is important in helping Ningxia Education Press to expand its marketing domains,increase revenue,provide solutions to new challenges,and offer implications for long-term sustainable development.
