| With the rapid development of mobile internet, it has been widely applied to various fields. Under this background, the mobile online learning has emerged. The new learning mode can overcome the limitations of time and space in the traditional educational mode. It can enable those learners to study anytime and anywhere. Moreover, they can also make the best of the limited time available to acquire new knowledge.However, the existing platform of mobile online learning only emphasizes the study of the individual, which means that those students are independent of each other during the learning process. The design of learning environment which can combine in-class teaching and after-class study is still lacking . Compared with the traditional classroom study, it has the disadvantage of being dull and having a lower learning efficiency.Hence, an online learning platform featured by the excellent interactivity and based on Android system has been designed and realized in this paper to solve those problems above. The need analysis has been made from the perspective of teacher-student interaction, student-student interaction and student-resource interaction. From the angle of the student,teacher and administrator, this platform can enable those students to interact with their teachers or other students more effectively. By connecting the user, course and learning resource, it can combine the in-class teaching and after-class study closely. Based on Android system and combined with the mobile learning platform, the framework of the system has been designed. With the B/S and C/S frameworks adopted, the multi-media technology and screen sharing technology have been also utilized to realize the mobile online learning platform.The mobile online learning platform designed in this paper aims to enhance the interactivity. Besides simulating the classroom teaching in real life, it has used the electronic whiteboard and teaching courseware for interaction. By means of group communication and audio teaching, it has also created a mobile learning environment which is highly similar to the realistic teaching and learning. Moreover, the function of video note has been also offered and realized, which can help those students find the key point and questions when watching the learning video. In addition,the screen sharing technology has been applied to the classroom teaching.Based on some features of mobile learning platform and the existing image compression algorithms for screen sharing, a series of optimizations have been made. With the teaching quality remaining high,the compression efficiency has been improved at the expense of image quality, thus making the video playing smoother. |
