Nowadays,the data traffic demand in cellular network is growing at an exponential rate.So heterogeneous network is proposed to meet this demand since it can offload traffic from macro-cells and offers cheap and flexible deployment.However,the utilization of low power nodes along with macro-cells will introduce more severe inter-cell interference,which will lead to cell search performance degradation.Thus,this paper research the problem of cell search under inter-cell interference in heterogeneous network.This thesis discusses the detail of LTE/LTE-A synchronization problem and highlights the significance of the work in this paper by analyzing the impact of timing and frequency error on the LTE/LTE-A system.Then the interference scenario is given and the demonstration of synchronization procedure and algorithm is presented according to this interference scenario.Then for the previous research in this field,this paper analyzed the the cell synchronization scheme and algorithm based on successive interference cancellation.On that basis,this paper proposed a new cell synchronization scheme based on parallel interference cancellation and the theoretical and practical analysis are conducted in the following section.At the end of this paper,simulation of these two interference cancellation schemes is performed and the effectiveness on cell search is well proved.This paper sets forth the content of cell search by analyzing the feature of heterogeneous network and LTE/LTE-A system.The improvement of cell search using interference cancellation has been proved by theoretical analysis and simulation.What’s more,the proposed algorithm of parallel interference cancellation outperforms the traditional one under the circumstance of equal distribution of power of the interfering signals.
