With the evolution and development of mobile communication,the fifth generation of mobile communication system will make it possible that "Access to information and sharing of data are available anywhere and anytime to anyone and anything",which requires the 5G mobile communication system to have more features,higher quality of communication service comparing to the previous commucation systems.With the ability to increase the system capacity and spectrum efficiency,the heterogeneous network has become an important technology of future wireless communication network deployment.The radio resource allocation techniques plays an important role in the field of researches on mobile communication.The traditional resource allocation technique focus on maximizing the system capacity by improving spectrum efficiency,however,it will bring some severe depletion issues.In the cotemporary ages characterized by increasing global energy crisis,it's of great significance to promote energy efficiency of radio resource allocation and realize green telecommunication.Current researches towards promoting mobile communication system efficiency mainly focus on optimization of the energy field,which uses the power distribution technology so as to decrease the energy consumption.However,as far as we can know from the definition of energy efficiency,which is involved with cost of the power consumption and reward of transmission rate of system,the increase of energy efficiency could be achieved by reducing energy consumption in the energy domain as well as by promoting spectrum efficiency in the domain of time or frequency.This paper firstly introduces background of green communications,and summarizes the energy efficiency metrics,the mechanism and method of base station energy saving.Then we propose two innovation points,one of which is a CoMP and ABS technology based resources optimization scheme,and the other one is an energy-efficient base station sleep scheme combined with CoMP technology in dense heterogeneous network.The former one focuses on improving the base's overall energy efficiency through facilitate the cooperation between macro and micro base station without many interferences,so as to improve the overal engergy efficiency in base.In addition,this approach combines the time-domain dynamic resource allocation and power allocation technology.System level simulation results show that this scheme can increase the system throughput efficiently and therefore promote energy efficiency The latter proposes a way to improve the overall energy efficiency of the base station by reducing energy consumption.The sleep mode of base station in the dense heterogeneous network environment dormancy mechanism is studied according to the spatial and temporal characteristics of the change of the traffics.System level simulation results show that the scheme can meet the users' need while effectively reducing the system's overall energy consumption.
