Research On Micro-media’s Application And Development In Library Information Service

With the constantly progress of network transmission technology and mobile terminal,network new media represented by microblog and WeChat is rising and developing rapidly.These micro-media,such as microblog or WeChat,have become an intermediary foundation,which is utilized by all walks of life to provide service.And micro-media promotes a micro-revolution centered on micro-information and micro-communication as a aggressively developing we-media platform of production,acquisition,communication and sharing.In terms of library information service,the application of micro-media breaks through the limit of time and space,provides readers with more convenient,efficient,high quality service,and become a new way for library information service.This paper introduces communication theory,sorts the definition and characteristics of micro-media and micro-communication.It also analyzes the impetus of the micro-media’s application in library information service: the internal impetus of libraries’ micro service consists of benefit drive mechanism and service concept,such as reader-oriented and service foremost;and the external impetus includes the promotion of new technology,the change of reader requirements,the encouragement of government’s policy.External causes take on their role through internal causes.The virtuous cycle of internal motivation and external motivation form the dynamic mechanism of library information services to keep pace with times.On this basis,the author collect and analyze data through the method of questionnaire survey,in order to further explore the present situation of the library micro service and find existing problems.Based on the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods,the author summarizes the present situation and the insufficiency of library micro-services,such as the penetration,the reader investigation,and the propagandizing and popularizing.Finally,the author puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions about the application and development of micro-services according to the actual situation and the existing problems.
