| AS the development of the wireless telecommunication technology, the new telecommunication technology is emerging in an endless stream and the traditional wireless cellular structure network and wireless telecommunication technology cannot meet the requirements of the technology and the market. In the future, the wireless telecommunication network will be an integrated network with several access technology of the wireless telecommunication coexisting and cooperating. And then, the wireless mesh network, a new self-organizing wireless telecommunication network, which has particular mesh structure and good network characteristics, has been concerned by scholars and the industry. For the new network technologies, there is a key technique about the cross-layer optimize design of wireless mesh network routing protocol: the traditional hierarchical design network structure, processing data in each layer and transmitting the feedback information to the next layer independently, is the typical framework in network communicating which establishes the theoretical foundation for the fast development of the human information technology. Along with the explosive growth of multimedia business, like the audio and video, the traditional hierarchical design of network is becoming the bottleneck of the optimization of network performance. Therefore, cross-layer design of the wireless mesh network routing protocol is increasingly becoming one of the hot technologies in the aspect of the wireless telecommunication technology.Firstly for the mobile node of the wireless mesh network, the MX-MAC protocol based on the mobile node was presented in the thesis. And this protocol was optimized based on the primary X-MAC protocol. In the protocol, the communication process between the mobile nodes was designed and optimized emphatically, and the back-off algorithm of the mobile nodes was also added. The protocol was designed for extending the life period of wireless mesh network and decreasing the probability of collision.Secondly, a CLRM-HWMP protocol based on the cross-layer design was put forward in the thesis, which adds a routing metric based on the cross-layer design CLRM to the HWMP protocol. Furthermore, a design of proactive routing algorithm and on-demand routing algorithm of the CLRM-HWMP protocol is also put forward. By the network simulation software called NS-3, the demonstration to the X-MAC protocol and MX-MAC protocol 、 HWMP protocol, CLRM-HWMP protocol and CAETT has realized successfully. According to the demonstration, the following two conclusions can be analyzed and concluded. One of the conclusions is the MX-MAC protocol can reduce collisions and retransmissions of data packets, so it can increase the whole network’s life period and decrease the probability of collision of the mesh nodes. The other one is CLRM-HWMP protocol can decrease the end-to-end delay of nodes, increase the throughput of the network system and improve the entire performance of wireless mesh network.Finally, a video surveillance system based on CLRM-HWMP under wireless mesh network was realized in this thesis: an experimental platform of wireless mesh network was built under Linux system. Furthermore, a VLC video stream transportation and storage solution based on CLRM-HWMP under the wireless mesh network was designed and realized. This solution tested the feasibility of CLRM-HWMP. |
