In order to achieve the collimation of the laser beam adaptively and decrease the the manual adjustment error,a visual adaptive collimation system with a extensibile friendly real-time man-machine interface is designed.Based on the post-development of MV-U2000 by using the VC++,the acquisition,the real-time display and the storage of the image of the laser spot are realized.Through the serial communication between the PC and the STM32,the stepper motor is able to auto-adjust itself correspondingly.In this paper,the previous schemes and implementations of the adaptive collimation system are introduced and compared at first.Depending on our practical application,the corresponding applied schemes are proposed.The design of the programming for the host computer,the control of the stepper motor and the collimation algorithm of the laser collimation system are introduced in details.Finally,the testing results and its performance analysis of the designed system are displayed.The hardware structure parts of the laser spot acquisition includes the CCD camera,the image acquisition card MV-U2000 and the computer.The programming for the host computer is realized based on the Visual C++ 6.0,which is constituted by the MFC dialog framework and includes the configuration for the image acquisition card,the image preprocessing and the control for communication function of the relative design and implementation.The lower computer of the system includes STM32,the stepping motor driver and the electric translation table.With the help of the serial port,the STM32 obtains the amount of the step change caculated by the successive approximation algorithm carried out by the host computer.Finally,the laser beam adaptive collimation are realized by driving the stepping motor.The designed high-transportable laser beam adaptive collimation system can satisfy the specific application requirement.Its single operation period is 2 minutes and the measurement precision is up to 4.17 μrad.Under the condition of the normal lab,the designed adaptive collimation system is able to realize the collimation of the laser comes from the single-mode fiberquickly and effectively.Meanwhile,the experimental cost is reduced and the operations for the experimental staff are simplified also.
