With the rapid development of network,more and more researches focus on the effect of network operation.Bandwidth is a very important attribute in the network service,which can effectively improve the utilization rate of bandwidth,and ensure that the carrier can provide high quality service as far as possible.If it is difficult to accurately measure the real-time network bandwidth,it is difficult to improve the user’s perception of the network.In order to find the reason,the accurate measurement bandwidth is also important for congestion control.TCP congestion control plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of network services.The measurement of bandwidth is also a hot issue in the network.Many web pages and clients provide the function of bandwidth measurement.In this thesis,the research status of bandwidth measurement is introduced.The research object is the common pathChirp,and the results are improved according to the results of the pathChirp algorithm.On the basis of the relationship between the probe packet rate and the one-way delay,the detection rate of the unidirectional delay is very close to the available bandwidth,and the method of reducing the packet rate is designed name as DRChirp.The algorithm with fast detection technology,accurately finds the available bandwidth and then sends out the boundary,exponential packet train rate corresponding to the maximum delay,then the detection packet is analyzed,finally to the value of available bandwidth.The simulation results show that the algorithm is also suitable for multi hop environment,and the effect is much better than the traditional algorithm by using NS2.
