Due to the heavy-duty trucks,larger blind spot is more serious than passenger vehicles.Therefore in urgent need of research and development blind spot monitoring system for heavy-duty truck,realize real-time monitoring,blind area surrounding panoramic display,and reminding function such as lane changing,at the same time offer necessary auxiliary information and reminding for drivers,to reduce accidents and reduce losses,improve the driving safety.This topic according new development of heavy-duty truck of SHAC as an example,the whole process of system development.Further study on heavy-duty trucks blind spot,collecting the requirements of blind spot monitoring as the development requirements of the system.System realize 11 functions such as radar detection function,driving vision enhancement,reversing vision enhancement,trailer visual reversing,monitoring of combining with the trailer,van internal monitoring.According to the functions,design the system architecture and network architecture.Also determines the blind spot of surveillance cameras and radar ranging technology route,analyzing the characteristics of the camera and various types of the radar,selected the 190 ° wide angle camera and 24 GHz millimeter wave radar of 38 institute.Set up 3d model of the vehicle,simulation analysis and carried out on the driving blind spot coverage and image imaging effect validation.The cameras and radar installation location is determined.Again,for fisheye camera geometric distortion,through the camera Zhangzhengyou calibration method for correction of distortion reduction.Analyzed Harris angular point calculation main characteristics,determine the Harris angular point calculation as feature point extraction algorithm.The maximum correlation coefficient in both directions BGCC(bidirectional greatest correlative coefficient)method for the coarse matching feature points in the image transformation parameter estimation using random sampling method(RANSAC)for parameter estimation,improve the robustness of the algorithm.On hardware aspect,though the study of active safety system and hardware platform trend,selection determines the CPU and peripheral devices,reserved system upgrading ability on the hardware architecture design.Based on the new platform model,design a blind spot monitoring system detailed diagnostic function,and system function test method were determined.Test results show that the system can be achieved with the tractor and trailers 360 ° panoramic view,and meet the monitoring requirements.
