The Research On Qualitative Evaluation Of Chinese Core Journals

Academic journals play an increasingly important role as a carrier of publishing academic achievements and doing the academic exchanges.Whether academic journals are core journals have become an important method to evaluate the value of academic journals,but the rationality and scientificity of core journals evaluation has always been the focus of academic debate.At present,the evaluation of journals generally adheres to the combination of quantitative evaluation and qualitative evaluation.The specific indexes of quantitative evaluation have been studied and recognized extensively.The theoretical research and index of qualitative evaluation are still in the embryonic stage.There is still a long way to go.Only using scientific evaluation methods and establish a reasonable core journals qualitative evaluation index system that we can make the evaluation of academic journals more real and reliable.Therefore,the core journals qualitative evaluation theory research and core journals qualitative evaluation index and methods have a great theoretical and practical significance.This paper is a research on the qualitative evaluation method of core journals,it discusses the theory and method of qualitative evaluation of core journals and studies the rational setting of qualitative evaluation index of core journals.The aim is to improve the core journals qualitative evaluation theory,make the qualitative evaluation scientific and rational.In the domestic institutions which using qualitative evaluation methods are Peking University Library,Nanjing University Chinese Social Science citation index,the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Document Information Center.The domestic qualitative evaluation index mainly include innovation,value,editorial level,information management,journal influence,the author constitutes and so on.This paper analyzes and compares the qualitative evaluation indexes of journal experts’ evaluation through literature survey,analytic hierarchy process and comparative analysis,and studies them from three aspects: theoretical research,qualitative evaluation index system and qualitative evaluation mechanism.Setting the qualitative evaluation index of core journals and the qualitative evaluation management of core journals as the starting point,it summarizes and analyzes the qualitative evaluation of Chinese core journals.At present,the qualitative evaluation problems are followed: the evaluation purpose and evaluation function can’t match,the evaluation index is fuzzy,the evaluation method needs to be improved,it’s difficult in choosing evaluation experts,information disclosure is opaque.The corresponding countermeasures should be put forward to solve the corresponding problems.
