With the more and more users of tap water in modern life,the management of the water supply department also tends to be intelligent and informative.The remote monitoring and control of the water meter is a new technology that follows this trend of development.It not only can effectively solve many shortcomings of the traditional manual meter reading method,but also can effectively control the user’s water usage,obtain more accurate water use information and reduce the management cost of the water supply department.This thesis researches and designs a system for remote monitoring and control of water meters.The system consists of three parts: water meter unit,data concentrator upper management machine.With PIC16F627 A as the main control chip,combined with Hall sensor and mechanical water meter and electric valve,the design of water meter unit is completed,and its software part is programmed with C language to realize the collection and control function of water meter unit in the system.With STM32F103 as the master chip,SIM900 A as the communication chip,the use of C language design process,completed the data concentrator design.At the same time,using Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 software as the integrated development environment,we designed an information management system to monitor the information and status of each water meter unit on the host management machine.This article also studied the system’s communication protocol.Using RS-485 communication,and designed the communication protocol,successfully achieved the communication between collector and concentrator.Through the study of GPRS wireless network communication,a set of TCP / IP protocol has been developed for the system.Finally,the protocol successfully achieves the accurate remote transmission of the information between the concentrator and the upper management machine information system.The host computer uses Visual Studio 2017 software to design a remote valve control program,water meter unit collected water data statistics program.Finally,the whole system is debugged.The results of the debugging and actual data are compared and analyzed.The results show that the coincidence rate of the water information monitored by the system with the information on the water meter is as high as 99%,indicating that the remote water meter monitoring system designed in this study has a very high Accuracy,accurate monitoring of remote water meter data information,and can effectively control the electric valve,has broad application prospects and practical significance.
