Content-Centric Networking(CCN)is a kind of new network architecture with many superior characteristics. It's been proposed to meet the needs for network service, and caused wide concern over the recent years.In-Network Caching,as one of most important feature of CCN architecture, directly affects the network performance, while there are many deficiencies in existed caching strategies.Summarized traditional Single Hash Routing(SHR)caching strategy, this paper proposed Weighted Multiple Hash Routing(WMHR)based on content popularity, which improved SHR by two ways.(1)Take content popularity into account, proposed Multiple Hash Routing(MHR)on the basis of content popularity.Compared to traditional SHR strategy,MHR allows each content in the network have multiple cached replications, which dynamic changes with popularity. This strategy effectively utilized cache space in the network, improved the cache hit ratio and reduced the access latency.(2)Take marginalization into further consideration,we proposed WMHR caching strategy based on content popularity.WMHR weighted marginal caching while considering content popularity, scattering replications around the client, therefore storing these replications much closer to the requesting node. This strategy further utilized limited cache space in the network and reduced the request latency. In conclusion, the WMHR based on content popularity improves the hit-ratio and request latency performance. In this paper we constructed content centric network simulation platform based on the NS-3 simulator and CCNx protocol,on which experiments using cache hit-ratio and access latency as indicators were conducted with different parameters like content popularity, cache space, etc.Experiment results shown that the WMHR made better performance than SHR and MHR.
