The browser is the most convenient entrance to access the Internet.It is exerting growing influence over people's work,study and lives and improves people's living standards.At the same time,browser security risks also pose serious threats to end-user privacy and property security.Therefore,the research on browser security risks and defense techniques is very importent.For Edge browser,we summarized the risk model into three risk models of malicious code implantation,fingerprinting tracking and malicious extension.And we analyzes and describes the risk model of browser fingerprint and malicious Edge extension in detail,which is instructive to analyze the security risks of browsers scientifically and reasonably.For the Edge browser fingerprint,we develop the browser fingerprinting collecting and analyzing system,which proves there is a security risk of fingerprint tracking in Edge;To further research and analysis on Edge extension,we built an Edge browser malware system and proved the Edge extension mechanism has the security of information theft risk;Then for the above security risks,we propose a reasonable defense scheme.The research is based on the basic architecture of browser,security mechanism,risk model,browser fingerprinting and Edge extension.In risk model,a specific and appropriate Edge browser risk model is constructed.In browser fingerprinting,the information that can be obtained in the Edge browser is researched,and the probability model is constructed to improve the recognition efficiency.In Edge browser malware,it takes the form hijacking,keyboard monitoring and Hook mechanism to achieve efficient information theft.Through the design and development of the prototype system,the potential threat of the Edge is discovered and verified,which is of great significance for improving the security of Edge browser even the entire browser ecosystem.
