Metaphorical Study In Graphic User Interface Design

The graphical user interface has been around for decades.In recent years,With the rapid rise of computer technology,network information technology and mobile digital media,The graphical user interface is also developing rapidly,presents a variety of styles.Metaphor as a way of thinking plays an important role in the communication between man and machine.This cognitive approach is to better understand this emerging thing、more rapid integration into mobile Internet life、more calmly facing the complex software language plays an important role.Metaphor is a core element of cognitive theory,It is also an important concept in the field of design.Metaphor was used in graphical user interface design at the beginning of graphical user interface.The first chapter of this paper starts from the historical development context,This paper briefly reviews the research and research achievements of metaphor in academia,expounds the concept of interface metaphor,From the perspective of attribute and function,the metaphor in graphical user interface is classified as conceptual metaphor,functional metaphor,structural metaphor and behavioral metaphor.The second chapter analyzes some important design principles and design methods to follow the graphic user interface metaphor design;This paper discusses the limitations of metaphor in graphic user interface design and summarizes some design mistakes that need to be avoided.In chapter 3,we analyze the application methods of metaphor in the design of graphical user interface,such as strategic layer,structure layer,frame layer and presentation layer.The fourth chapter through the design of the study method,according to the specific design process and steps,completed a second-hand book trade APP design,and discusses the design idea and the derivation process in detail,with the combination of theory and practice of design method for validation.In this article,through a combination of theory and practice,analyzes the mechanism of metaphor in graphical user interfaces and the working principle,summed up the specific design method,in order to in the mobile client graphical user interface design has become increasingly mature,the rise of user experience design,instructional designer the design of the application of metaphor to develop more excellent products.
