EFVS is full name of enhanced flight vision system.Its role is through forward-looking infrared,millimeter-wave radar or other technology to pilots in case of low visibility clearly observed dynamic scene in front of the aircraft and other aircraft,makes aircraft flying safer and more reliable.In low visibility environments relying on visible image is not clear access to environmental information,and infrared sensors by sensing ambient temperature information obtained infrared images,which can be a good solution to the surrounding environment in low visibility conditions access to information problem,but also has poor contrast infrared images,blurred edges.Therefore,the image will be visible and infrared images were fused to make up for their shortcomings.This paper studies the fusion of infrared and visible light images.This paper first describes the process of image fusion,image fusion level,development status at home and abroad today.Elaborated for image fusion evaluation of subjective and objective indicators,Then introduced the theory of image fusion algorithms,including spatial domain image fusion methods,and introduces the basic theory of wavelet transform andapplication in the field of image fusion,image fusion method based on pyramid,also expounded on the fusion rule is very important in image fusion.Finally,introduced image fusion method based on color space conversion,which includes image fusion method based on HIS and YUV.At the end of the fourth chapter describes methods for image fusion matlab simulation carried out and analyzed by comparing the results of various methods of image fusion.Then,this paper presents a method of image fusion based on YUV transform and wavelet transform.The algorithm implementation steps are as follows: in the first fusion,the visible and infrared images were done YUV conversion and grayscale enhancement,the Y component and infrared images are fused using wavelet,in order to obtain a better fusion result,the fusion rule selection using the weighted average method for low frequency,high frequency used regional energy take big of way,after the wavelet reconstructed new Y component,the Y,U,V component was obtained through the inverse YUV transform the final fused image.Through Matlab simulation experiments we can know,the first fusion is better than traditional YUV and wavelet transform fusion and pixel level YUV transform and wavelet transform,in some objective evaluation index is even higher than that of wavelet decomposition layers more fusion image.Then we fuse the first fusion image,the method is fusing visable image,infrared image and the first fusion image,in order to improve the fusion effect.Through subjective and objective evaluation to evaluate the fusion effect,we konw the validity of this method.At the end of the paper puts forward another,an improved image fusion algorithm is combined contourlet transform and YUV transform.Specific content and the fusion method is as follows: the visible light image YUV transformation Y component and gray level image enhanced QR decomposition,respectively,and then to contourlet decomposed upper triangular matrix decomposition,the low frequency component adopts weighted average fusion method,the high frequency component of the large of regional energy integration method.For the high and low frequency component resulting from the fusion contourlet refactoring,again to the component of QR decomposition reconstruction inverse transformation,finally will be YUV component Y,U,V inverter in the final fusion results are obtained.Through Matlab simulation,can know both in vision and objective evaluation index,improve the fusion effect is better than traditional contourlet transform,prove the effectiveness of the improved algorithm.In summary,this paper studies the infrared image and visible image fusion technology,and proposes two method of image fusion,and its effectiveness is verified by the simulation and the main,objective evaluation.
