3D models are important objects for digital design.With lots of 3D models on the Internet,it is important to make full use of current resource to generate more 3D models.Component-based part synthesis is a popular method,the key of which is example learning and replacement in the same place dealing with artifact with fixed functions.It is not applicable to 3D role models in industry of game animation.In this thesis,the relation between geometry feature and part style is discussed and thus a hierarchical mapping model about style of role model is proposed,which can generate stylish and creative models in combinational design.The main contributions of this thesis can be summarized as three parts:(1)A multi-tree structure representation about role model is proposed,which describes model with a multi-tree structure and model parts based on symbol representation.It is a system from whole to part and also a useful expression to model structure and parts.(2)A hierarchical mapping model of the style of role model is proposed,which contains two levels of mapping,the lower level is from geometry feature to shape attribute and higher level is from shape attribute to style attribute.A mapping relation is established from geometry features to part style,which is an effective representation of style in statistic model.(3)A recommendation system about customization of style is designed for inspiring model designers from perspective of style.For normal users,they can also get the role models they need by the system.
