The energy of sensor nodes in wireless sensor networks(WSN)is limited,so how to reduce the energy consumption of nodes and prolong the network life cycle has been a hot topic of WSN.At present, there are many energy efficient routing algorithms developed, but most of them are distributed, and nodes need to participate in control, resulting in increased energy consumption.Software defined network(SDN)is an emerging network technology in recent years. Its core idea is to separate the control plane and forwarding plane.SDN has been successfully applied in the wired network.Inspired by this,SDN and WSN can be fused together to form a software defined wireless sensor network. On the one hand,it can simplify the function of nodes and reduces the energy consumption. On the other hand, centralized algorithms can be used to make full use of the global network information. We mainly do two parts of work:First,by comparing SDN and WSN,we explain the feasibility of fusion of two.According to the characteristics of wireless sensor network, there are some principles of design for the software defined wireless sensor network architecture, then we design two network models when the nodes are stationary(static scene)and mobile(dynamic scene)separately;Second,we propose an energy aware minimum weight path algorithm EAMWPA that can be used in software defined wireless sensor network. The algorithm divides the node energy into finite energy grades. The controller updates the link weights after sensing the change of energy grade, and uses the Dijkstra algorithm to recalculate the paths of all nodes to itself with minimum sum of weights.Simulation results show that the algorithm can effectively balance the energy consumption of nodes and prolong the network life cycle.
