The channel characteristics and transmission performance of the wireless communication system have an important influence on the performance of the entire communication system.In 2016,the 3 GPP released the standard 3GPP TR 38.900 for 5G communication systems;in 2017,the International Telecommunication Union(International Telecommunication Union,ITU)Working Party 5D completed the drafting of the IMT-2020 standard but has not yet been officially named for release.Based on the latest research results of the two major standards organizations,this paper develops,validates and analyzes IMT-2020 standardized channel model.(1)This paper makes a detailed comparison between 3 GPP TR 36.873,3GPP TR 38.900/901 and ITU standard,and gives a detailed comparison and summary from support scenarios,applicable frequency bands,modeling methods and new channel features.And found that the ITU standard inherits and develops the 3 GPP standard.Therefore,it is determined that the following developments and studies will be based on the ITU document.(2)According to the main module in the ITU standard modeling process,the channel model is developed.The program is divided into four modules,including the parameter input module,large-scale modeling module,small-scale modeling module and channel coefficient generation module.These modules include various implementation steps for the fast fading model.(3)The channel model is verified and analyzed.The simulation results are compared with the ideal data given in the standard,and the 5G channel model is verified by the time domain model and the space domain model respectively.At the same time,the eigenvalues of channel characteristics,channel capacity and channel correlation matrix in time domain and spatial domain are further analyzed.The frequency of 3.5 GHz and 26 GHz are selected for comparative analysis.The relationship between channel characteristics and channel performance is summarized,and the influence of frequency on wireless channel is summarized.To sum up,this article conducted an in-depth comparative analysis of three international standards on 5G;completed the development and verification of the main module of the IMT-2020 channel model;and further analyzed the 5G channel characteristics and channel performance.
