Research On Video Surveillance System Based On ARM For Moving Object Tracking

In recent years,the application of video surveillance sys tem is more and more extensive,and it is mainly used in many fiel ds such as security monitoring,traffic management monitoring,industrial scene monitoring,home monitoring and so on.With the development of technologies such as WIFI,3G,4G and other wireless network technologies,more and more applications of wireless video monitoring are accepted by various industries.A design of wireless video monitoring system based on ARM was proposed,this monitoring system could realize the gole of tracking target.The hardware structure of the monitoring system used the S3C2440 processor which was produced by Samsung Corp,and the core board of the related function modules was matched,such as serial port,USB interface,Nand Flash module,power module and so on.The camera which conforms to the UVC(USB Video Class)standard was used in the monitoring system and the wireless Wi Fi network card was used to send and receive video data.The software part of monitoring system included many parts such as the building of Linux operating system,the design of device driver,the transplant of MJPG-streamer video server and the design of the MJPG-streamer video client.Finally,the Mean-shift algorithm was selected to realize the moving target tracking.When both the hardware platform and the software system were completed,the system test was performed.The result showed that this system could meet the need of wireless video monitoring system,it could also realize the tracking of moving target in the condition that the motion background is not too complex and the target is moving slowly.In the process of designing the monitoring system,the theoretical knowledge of digital circuit and analog circuit,embedded system and Mean-shift algorithm were synthetically applied.The main creativity of this project is the application of Mean-shift algorithm in wireless video surveillance system.This surveillance system realized the gole of tracking moving targets.This wireless video surveillance system based on ARM can be used for the occasion of many applications such as traffic management,home monitoring,financial industry and so on.The monitoring sites can be monitored by user at any time,and a specific target can also be tracked.Therefore,this video monitoring system expands the field of video surveillance,it has important social value and applied value.
