Since the successful development of the TWT,it has achieved a decisive position in the national economy and national defense construction.Therefore,the development of efficient and reliable traveling wave tubes is the focus of current and future national and defense.In practice,the development of traveling wave tubes is mainly divided into the simulation of traveling wave tubes and the process of traveling wave tubes.The electromagnetic,thermal,and force co-simulation of TWTs is mainly carried out on the relevant CAE software.The CAE software MTSS independently developed by the UESTC has three simulation modules: electromagnetic,thermal(in R&D),and force(in R&D).The electromagnetic,thermal,and force simulations of traveling wave tubes have different focuses.Therefore,the models used in the calculations are different.The electromagnetic model is usually the key structure,and the thermal and force models are the corresponding complete structures.This requires a complete digital modeling system,which provides models and supports simultaneous adjustment of electromagnetic,thermal,and force models.However,the digital modeling capabilities of MTSS are inadequate,thereby restricting the electromagnetic,thermal,and force co-simulation of MTSS.In addition,due to the complex structure of TWTs and the wide variety of parts,it is also consuming in the processing of parts,if using powerful 3D printing technology will inevitably greatly improve the processing efficiency of TWT.Therefore,in order to accelerate the electromagnetic,thermal,and force co-simulation of TWTs,a digital modeling method for quickly generating TWT structures is studied,and the possibility of 3D printing of the TWT is explored.This is very meaningful in development of the TWT.The main work of this article is as follows:1.First of all,through the analysis of the structural characteristics of the traveling wave tube,and to understand the modeling method of professional CAD modeling software.Secondly,to learn the realization principle of programming language,and to study emphatically the interpretation of intermediate code,and a language-based modeling method,using pascal language for digital modeling,is proposed.Finally,based on the idea of language modeling,FMTools(Fast Model Tools),a rapid modeling software,was developed.The software interface was developed by the QT application framework,and calls the language-based modeling module through the form of dynamic link library.FMTools,as a digital modeling software,supports the rapid establishment of the TWT structure and the automated adjustment of the TWT structure,thereby laying a good foundation for the electromagnetic,thermal,and force co-simulation of MTSS,improving the development efficiency of the traveling wave tube.2.Through compiling the material information of a certain type of traveling wave tube,as well as surveying the 3D printing by the service websites,the material and accuracy information of some 3D printing are counted.Then,the structure of the TWT is classified according to the type of material,and analyzing whether the structure can be combined,thereby reducing the number of parts and preparing for 3D printing.At present,the biggest problem with TWT 3D printing lies in the study of materials,but some TWT structures can be printed.
