In traditional industries, the monitoring of field equipment is generally conducted in a wired manner,in which a lot of manpower and material resources is required to arrange wires and cables. The high installation cost, poor equipment mobility, and poor monitoring performance make it difficult to meet the monitoring needs of modern industry. In recent years, under the environment of Industry 4.0,the rapid development of information technology led by wireless communication technologies has effectively promoted the widespread application of wireless sensor networks in industrial control, medical health and environmental monitoring.Under the background of this development, since the investigation of the pneumatic components’ s operating conditions and environmental parameters by the personnel in the complex environment of the pneumatic industry on the field cannot be properly carried out, this subject is to design a set of applications based on the wireless sensor network technology for the pneumatic industrial field. The wireless network monitoring system can help realize the real-time collection and storage of various types of data on the site and facilitate the staff to view and analyze the operation status of each device in real time, thereby ensuring the safety of industrial sites more effectively. The monitoring system of pneumatic components based on wireless network includes multiple terminal acquisition nodes and a convergence node.Among them, the terminal acquisition nodes, located around the device in the field, collecte multi-channel data and send them to the convergence node which is located in the control center of the field by wireless. The convergence node not only processes the received multi-terminal multi-channel data and stores the data in SD,but also communicates with the GPRS module through the serial port at the same time to further realize the remote monitoring and access to the field devices. This paper first analyzes and compares several commonly short-range wireless communication technologies and processing systems in wireless sensor networks.Combining with the requirements of wireless transmission distance, communication speed, and data processing capabilities in the industrial field, this paper choses WIFI wireless communication method and FPGA and introduces the system’s functional requirements, overall design framework and final goals.Secondly, the functions of each node in the system are described, the selection of each core chip is completed, the hardware circuit design of each node is introduced in detail according to the small functional module and the PCB of each node is designed and manufactured.A hardware platform for a pneumatic component monitoring system based on wireless networking is developed. Then, the software design of each node of the system is introduced, including system networking, data acquisition, data caching,SD card’s classification storage and alarm. Finally,a complete aerodynamic component monitoring system is built based on the hardware and software design. The network performance, wireless transmission performance and power consumption of the system are tested.Through experimental analysis, the overall performance of the system is tested and its feasibility is verified.
