| With the ever increasing road transport volume and turnover, the cost of road transport and the energy problems and environmental problems it caused has catch more and more attentions. In 2012, China completed and road transport volume of 32.2 billion ton, and at the same time, it brings us tremendous burden of agriculture and production industry.Reasonable use of different transport organization models can be a effective way of reducing logistic cost, and drop-and-pull is one of them. Compared with traditional models, drop-and-pull can be more effective in two ways. Firstly, drop-and-pull can best promote the cargo transit efficiency per vehicle; secondly, it decreases the transport cost per unit of cargo. Take a 200 km long transit line as an example, it is calculated that the transit volumes per vehicle of traditional model and drop-and-pull are 2.19 and 5.0 million ton kilometer; in terms of acquisition expense, drop-and-pull model deliver and annual turnover of 2.29 times that of traditional model, but to deliver the same performance, traditional model needs 2.28 times the average vehicles.This paper, in this consideration, sets drop-and-pull in Corporation F as an example, carried study on the feasibility of drop-and-pull model in China. It first introduces drop-and-pull model and Corporation F, and then it forecasts the transit volume of Corporation F by curve trend and exponential smoothing. A detailed introduction of the drop-and-pull model equipments and personnel in Corporation F is given. It works out the transit efficiency, average transit cost, cost in energy and carbon emission volume of drop-and-pull in comparison with traditional transport. Finally, it put forwards the detailed measures to be taken to fulfill the project, which can be of both theoretical and practical conference to the implementation of drop-and-pull in other enterprises in China. |
