Since the 90 s 20th century, the society is developing fast, the number of social and environmental problems is also increasing, as a result, there has been a worldwide movement of Corporate Soeial Responsibility(CSR). The main characteristics are: governments pay more and more attention to CSR, society pays more and more attention to the implementation of CSR, and more and more enterprises regard bearing CSR as a duty. At the same time, under the impact of stakeholder theory and CSR theory, the traditional enterprise theory is faced with severe challenges. In the modern enterprise theory research, CSR is getting more and more attention. In the study CSR, finding out the relationship between CSR and financial performance, as well as the regulating role of external pressure in the relationship between CSR and financial performance has important theoretical and practical significance.In this paper, we used the stakeholder theory, contract theory and principal-agent theory. On the basis of systematic review of related research, we carried out both normative research and empirical research. Along with the "theoretical analysis-empirical research-suggestions" research route, we made a comprehensive and in-depth research on the topic or "external pressure, corporate social responsibility and financial performance empirical research", obtained certain conclusions with theory value and practice value.The study found that CSR has a promoting effect on financial performance, external pressure has an adjust effect in the influence of corporate social responsibility on financial performance. Based on the research of External Pressure, Corporate Social Responsibility and Financial Performance, this paper puts forward the Suggestions of how to promote enterprise to fulfill social responsibility. Building the system of information disclosure, improving the corporate governance mechanism, and establishing incentive mechanism of corporate social responsibility, etc. which will enhance the corporate social responsibility consciousness, improve the corporate social responsibility initiative, promote enterprises to fulfill social responsibility better.
