The Study Of "Machine Substitutions" Impact On The Manufacturing Industry In Taizhou

“Machine substitutions” is not simply to replace manual work by the machine. The core is to replace the outdated equipment with advanced equipment and improve production efficiency. The essence is to promote technological innovation, craftwork innovation and management innovation with equipment update. The aim of “Machine substitutions” is to change the growth style of overdependence on cheap labor, reduce huge number of employee, and find new power of industry optimization, upgrading and continued economic growth. At present, with the declining of demographic dividend and labor costs’ rising, multiple factors,such as labor demand, market demand, environment capacity constraints,policy incentives and so on, which will interaction each other. Manufacturing enterprises’ demand for industrial robots is stimulated, the potential market demand is huge. Although some enterprises have purchased the automation equipment, and carry out the plan of “machine substitutions”, more enterprises still have been waiting. "Machine substitution" has become the only way of manufacturing enterprises’ transformation and upgrading.In order to understand the impact of “machine substitutions” on Taizhou’s manufacturing industry, the author set up a special questionnaire, took the focus on investigation, combined with field research, she investigated the situation of robot industry’s development in Tai zhou, also investigated the promoting situation of “machine substitutions” in Taizhou’s manufacturing enterprises, as a result, “machine substitutions” brings several points of benefit: reduce the employment pressure and production costs, improve the working environment of workers, improve the product qualification rate, reduce energy consumption, eliminate outdated products. But if the manufacturing enterprises want to carry out the plan of “machine substitutions”, there are four problems: large investment fund, longterm recovery of capital, enterprise development ability, policy awareness, less development of robot industry etc.. On the base of research, the author’s opinion is if we want to promote “machine substitution " of manufacture, government must provide the policy supporting, technology leading and the right guiding of industrial developing, enterprises also should use the good opportunities, introduce good technology and technicians at the right time, then they can adapt to the new situation of economic developing.
