National service industry, the "Twelfth Five-year" plan states: We should accelerate the distribution system, and improve logistics and distribution levels. Should encourage joint development of logistics industry and manufacturing industry, and improve the integration level of operations and large-scale…Should implement technological innovation of logistics and distribution, and improve the application level of standardization of equipment, containers, tools and personnel in logistics and distribution industry. Should promote the recycling of standard container pallets and other logistics packaging, and the use of standard transport vehicles…At the same time a number of national projects and research literature have begun in-depth discussed on this direction. How to describe the whole process inbound logistics, the definition and innovative of distribution ways, distribution type decision of various materials, development and optimization of the design and distribution of aids and appliances and so on, all have become the key issues to be solved. For manufacturing industry, the ability of handling and distribution equipment in inbound logistics process directly related to operational efficiency and economic benefits of warehouses, distribution centers, supermarkets beside the and other work places. And then the queuing theory has obvious advantages for optimizing equipment resources, which contribute to avoid idle waste of logistics equipment, reduce waiting losses of clients, and improve operational efficiency of the logistics system. According to the relevant indicator parameters, evaluating the state of logistics equipment and staffing, can provide scientific basis for optimizing the facilities and improving the service efficiency. In the thesis, we study application scope and conditions of queuing theory and queuing theory model in inbound logistics process. Combining storage, warehousing, distribution and other logistics process, propose variable input rate queuing model, variable service rate queue model and inventory control models based on queuing theory, respectively, to design the plant discharge portion of inbound logistics, on-line distribution links and work-in-process inventory section, and get the optimal device configuration of all inbound logistics process. In the end, the thesis not only present three queuing model which are well fitting with the actual situation, but also prove that queuing theory is effective in optimizing the equipment of inbound logistics, with the following example of a manufacturing enterprise inbound logistics process.
