The first P2P online lending platform of China was established in 2007, as the development of P2P online lending in our country is not a long time and lack of related laws and regulations, the information disclosure system of the P2P online lending market is not consummate. Lenders in P2P online lending can't fully grasp the detailed information of the borrowers, which lead to the information asymmetry problem is more serious. Because of the information asymmetry and the lender personal preference, discrimination exists in the P2P online lending market at present stage. The discrimination in P2P network lending market in our country is that the borrowers are treated unreasonable, which mainly manifested in the rates of success and the lending rates.Using the transaction records of a large P2P online lending platform during September 2014 to January 2014 as samples to study the discrimination of P2P online lending market in our country, namely:the borrowers in P2P online lending market is under different treatments? Then the different treatments is reasonable? If there is discrimination in the P2P online lending market? How to reduce discrimination in P2P online lending market?Firstly, we give literature review of the P2P online lending in the domestic and foreign systematically compiled. We work out that scholars at home and abroad study P2P online lending mainly in two aspects:the success rate and defaults rate, the study of the discrimination in P2P online lending market is rare. A few foreign scholars study the discrimination in the foreign P2P lending market, while the study of the discrimination in the P2P lending of our country is still blank.Secondly, we make a theoretical analysis and study the present situation of the discrimination of P2P online lending market of our country. The results of the analysis of the current situation of discrimination in the P2P network lending market of China shows that women, students and older ones suffer discrimination both in the success rate and lending rates. The default rates of the female, students and older ones is relatively low, but the succeed rates of women, students and older ones is low, the borrowing rate is higher. Then, with quantitative observation on the discrimination of P2P online lending in China, we conducted empirical research. On the one hand, we has carried on the empirical research to the influence factors of borrowing rate in three aspects:first, an empirical analysis of the total sample; second, the empirical analysis of according to the professional characteristics; third, the empirical analysis of according to the age characteristics. The empirical results show that in the P2P online lending market, the lending rate of women, students and older ones is relatively high. On the other hand, we use sorting selection model to study the factors of the borrower credit risk, the empirical results show that women, students and older ones credit risk was lower than other borrowers. Therefore, there indeed is discrimination in the P2P online lending market, specifically, women, students and older ones are under discrimination. Finally, relevant policy suggestions are put forward on the base of conclusions from above. To remit the discrimination in the P2P online lending market of our country, the P2P online lending platform should perfect information disclosure system, establish a good personal credit reporting system, at the same time, formulate relevant laws and regulations, increase propaganda.
