Research On Inventory Management In JA Clothing Company

In recent years,with the apparel industry’s economic downturn,and the market competition is so fierce,many apparel companies operating difficulties because of the high inventory take up a lot of money.High inventory bring high stock costs,increased management costs,opportunity costs,at the same time clothing has seasonal and fashion features,a large number of high inventory have to only a cheap discount sales,and some inventory clothing have to be sold below cost.a lot of high inventory apparel companies have to face the risk of bankruptcy and collapse.Therefore,reducing inventory levels while increasing customer satisfaction is the most need to solve for clothing companies.This paper adopts a method of asking questions,analyzing problems and problem-solving.Firstly,it analyzes inventory management situation of JA clothing company and find the problems and causes of inventory management for JA clothing company.Then,it introduces the demand forecasting model and optimization of inventory control models,and demand forecasting model focuses on the gray forecast model and cubic curve forecasting model,but also it take examples of forecast calculations for Grey forecasting model and cubic curve forecasting models.Finally,JA clothing company optimize inventory management in three aspects,firstly it uses radio frequency technology to response rapidly information.Secondly it implement company ERP inventory management system inside JA clothing company to optimize the internal inventory management.Thirdly it implement CPFR inventory management mode between JA clothing company and the external surface materials suppliers,manufacturers,franchise chain to optimize inventory management and ensure rapid reaction and accuracy of information,providing accurate data for the demand forecasting models and inventory control models.
