Among the positions in commercial bank,the customer manager has played an important role in building commercial bank reputation and competing with rivals in the market.This is because most marketing work has been done by customer manager.In addition,customer manager is in charge of several important works,like loans,deposits,bankcards,electronic banking,intermediate business etc.,and is responsible to make profit and expand business for banks.Finally,the high uncertainties associated with bank loan business have made commercial bank a high-risk industry,which is highly dependent on customer manager's ability to assess and manage the risk.Therefore,the performance management for customer manager is very important in commercial bank system.This work has firstly introduced the performance index and standards of grading for customer manager in commercial bank A,as well as the determination basis behind it.Then we analyzed the bank marketing strategy,financial index,and non-financial index that directly relate to customer manager.The results reveal there are problems with the existed performance index and standards of grading for customer manager.We propose an improved performance index and standards of grading,and redesign workflows of performing coaching and performance result application.This work also comes up with a pre-arranged plan to solve potential problems.We have made major conclusions as following:Firstly,the current administrative mechanism of customer manager performance in commercial bank A fails to meet the bank development demands.However,there is no necessary to make revolutionary changes on current administrative mechanism.Instead,an innovation may help optimize the administrative mechanism of customer manager performance smoothly.Secondly,we optimize performance index and standards of grading,and redesign workflows of performing coaching and performance result application,to increase the administrative level of customer manager performance effectively.Thirdly,we consider the problems associated with this improved administrative mechanism and raise corresponding solution to ensure the improved administrative mechanism can be efficiently executed.
