A Study On The Relationship Between Csr Performance And Company Values In The Nuclear Power Listing Corporation In China

After the 2011 nuclear accident in Fukushima, Japan, China's nuclear power industry had to interrupt under pressure from all sides. However,with the Haze-prone, coal,oil and other resources is on the verge of exhaustion and the situation become increasingly grim, the strategic thinking of the developing nuclear power appears in people's vision once again. In recent years, China's leaders deliver a speech related to nuclear power on different occasions. The government not only published relevant documents, but also has taken some measures for the construction of nuclear power development, such as protecting the inland nuclear power plant, which shows that nuclear power may restart and recovery. In the restarting of nuclear power, we should face up to the difficulties and setbacks, thinking how to develop nuclear power in ensuring the safe and steady progress, thus the fulfillment of social responsibility has always been an question that we can not escape through the development of nuclear power. The fulfillment of social responsibility not only should get rid of accumulated doubts in the public mind, but also makes various stakeholders, especially shareholders and managers have a willingness to voluntarily fulfill their social responsibility, so a study on the relationship CSR performance and company values is the necessary and essential item.This paper, firstly, reviews the research status of domestic and overseas social responsibility, CSR performance and the relationship between CSR performance and company values. Secondly, from the four aspects of ecological environment, energy revolution, public psychology and international nuclear safety, the paper analyzes the special nature of social responsibility in the nuclear power industry. Then the paper introduces the theory of social responsibility and stakeholder theory. Thus, combining two theories with the special nature of social responsibility in the nuclear power industry, it outlines ten aspects of social responsibility that nuclear power listing corporation should fulfill in China. Again, using 42 nuclear power listing corporation as research samples and CSR performance, company values and nature of the company, ownership concentration as a study variable, according to its disclosing financial data and non-financial data in past 5 years, the paper uses SPSS19.0 to analyze the relationship between CSR performance and company values and comes to a conclusion. Empirical studies found CSR performance and company value is positively correlated, and with a lag in the nuclear power listing corporation in China. Finally, the paper summarizes research findings and put forward relevant proposals.
