The reform of interest rate marketization is one of the important measures for our country to deepen the reform of financial market. the whole interest rate marketization process is expected to be officially completed within 1-2 years. In the interest rate marketization reform, the commercial banks will undergo most dramatic and far-reaching influence. As the most important participant of the economic and financial fields, commercial banks should pay attention to and anaylise the opportunities and challenges brought by the reform, both as a powerful promoter of market-oriented reform of interest rate and utility transmission media and as a fiduciary institution that is most widely and directly influenced by the market-oriented reforeof interest rate.This paper takes Harbin bank as the main object of study which is the representative of Chinese City Commercial Banks. Firstly, the interest rate marketization connotation, causes andsignificance of implementation are outlined, Then the development process of interest rate marketization reform is introduced. Secondly, from the point of view of international experience, trying to draw the general rules of the interest rate marketization reform. Again, in detail elaborated the history and status of Harbin bank, by in-depth analysis of the operating characteristics, Analysis the advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and threats in the context of the reform. Finally, on the basis of this, the paper gives a conclusion of answering the interest rate marketization, points out the specific safeguard measures.This paper has a certain significance both theoretically and practically.
