An Empirical Study On Determinants Of Social Responsibility Accounting Information Disclosure Of Pharmaceutical Industry In China

We are now in a critical period of “economic transition”, and the pharmaceutical industry takes an important part in our economy. As a public pharmaceutical company with enormous assets, its decision and behavior should be comprehensive consideration of social responsibility and influence, the enterprise now should build a new value and have more spiritual pursuit. Therefore to provide beneficial reference for the pharmaceutical practice, we firstly evaluate the information disclosure of the pharmaceutical industry's social responsibility, and then try to find the factors may affect the information disclosure of pharmaceutical corporate social responsibility.This paper is mainly about the information disclosure of pharmaceutical corporate social responsibility in China, the first part introduced the current research background of social responsibility information disclosure and the theoretical and practical significance of this subject; through the inductive theory literature at home and abroad, points out the limitations of corporate social responsibility in China. Secondly, combining the characteristics of the pharmaceutical industry and related theories, this paper created a hierarchical model, and on the basis of this model constructed a set of evaluation index system of social responsibility information disclosure which is suitable for pharmaceutical industry. After all these, this article evaluated the information disclosure of social responsibility about the sample companies in 2013 and 2014, according to the grading, this paper analyses the factors, then conclusions of this paper about influence factors. At the last chapter, this paper takes Novartis as an example to put forward some suggestions, and summarized and prospect.Conclusion of this article is following: the information disclosure of pharmaceutical corporate social responsibility in China is getting better year by year, but still has many problems, such as independent report is too few, and the content is not comprehensive and normative. Meanwhile, this paper showed the information disclosure of social responsibility of pharmaceutical industry in China has significantly positively related to corporate earnings and scale, weak positive correlation with state-owned enterprises, and still cannot prove the relation about the independent directors, the board chairman and general manager whether the joining together of two jobs, and was associated with a significant business area economy level.
