Research On Tujia Spring Festival Tourism Sustainable Use From Furong Town,Western Hunan

National festival is a nation's important way and supporter of culture continuity and communication, which unite and standardize a nation's religious belief, ethics, cultural psychology, values and other varied cultural conventions. In the view of Tourism scholars, they consider national festival as tourism resources contained profound culture and strong participation, especially the ancient festivals, which is more appeal to tourists because of its' long history, mystery and large heterogeneity, so it is more likely to be a part of tourism resources. As the grandest year for Tujia nation, Tujia Spring Festival of Furong Town in Western Hunan has been developing for more than 800 years. After tourism exploration in 2007, Tujia Spring Festival has attracted thousands of tourists at home and abroad. On the one side, tourism development of Tujia Spring Festival not only provides substantial economic benefits for local government and residents, but also displays tujia nation's brilliant history and culture. But on the other side, Tujia Spring Festival is suffering lots of problems with the tourism development and it's not benefit to its tourism sustainable development. This research will choose Tujia Spring Festival as our study case and from the view of sense of community, community evolvement and theirs interaction to discuss current situation of its tourism sustainable use, based on this, our research will provide constructive advice to Tujia Spring Festival tourism sustainable use.At first, this research analyze and summary the Tujia Spring Festival cultural resources occurrence, tourism resource value and tourism utilization. Second, know the condition of community residents' sense of community and community involvement by questionnaire and in-depth interview. Last, sustainable development theory and community empowerment theory will be employed to our strategy. Research conclusions are as follows: (1) Sense of community, community participation and Tujia Spring Festival sustainable use form a virtuous circle, that is the former part can boost the later.(2) Community residents' sense of community is on par and community involvement is in low levels. (3) Community residents in different demographic characteristics have significant difference with sense of community and community involvement. (4) The problems of Tujia Spring Festival tourism sustainable use are cultural right relative deprivation, capital right relative deprivation, political right relative deprivation.(5) Based on the empowerment theory, we provide empowerment modes to solute the problems of Tujia Spring Festival tourism sustainable use, which is "culture empowerment, psychological empowerment, social empowerment, economic empowerment and political empowerment".
