With the rapid development of sharing economy and the continuous innovation of Internet and information technology,tailored car service has been going through a growth spurt worldwide.Especially,as a new travel mode of "Internet + transportation",the tailored car service has been one of the main residents' daily travel modes based on the sharing platform,since it emerged in China in 2014.However,the fast developing speed of the tailored car service brings great difficulties and challenges to the government's traffic management.On the one hand,relevant policies and regulations for traditional taxis and private cars are not suitable for the tailored car service.The lack of government's management and guidance has definitely hindered the healthy and sustainable development of the tailored car service.On the other hand,the relationship between the tailored car service and traditional taxis is still indefinable.Some argue that the tailored car service can be treated as a supplement of traditional taxis,while others argue that traditional taxis are in tremendous competition with the tailored car service.Moreover,the tailored car service is often suspected of insecurity due to the lack of government's supervision.The above problems have caused great barriers to the long-term development of the tailored car service,and also make the tailored car service hard to develop in the early stage.Therefore,there is an urgent need for the government to formulate relevant laws and regulations,which can lead,guide and supervise the development of tailored car service.Also,practical management measures should be proposed to help the tailored car service better adapt to China's national conditions and market requirements,and concertedly develop with traditional taxis.Thus,diversified and better travel services can be provided for passengers.This study aims to explore peoples' recognition and attitudes to the tailored car service travel,as well as the potential influencing factors on people's recognition.To provide meaningful experiences and references to the government,some suggestions about the futhre development of the tailored car service have been put fprward based on the research findings.This study analyzed peoples' recognition and travel behavior characteristics of the tailored car service,and their attitudes to its development prospect,based on the large sample data obtained by Web survey.According to the distributiorn characteristics of the survey data,the method of multiple logistic regression was used to analyze people's recognition about the safety and charge of the tailored car service,and its relationship with traditional taxis;the method of ordinal multinomial logistic regression was used to analyze the using frequency of the tailored car service;the methods of decision tree,association rule,and the visualization were used to analyze people'd attitudes to introducing private cars into the tailored car service and its development prospect.Based on the models' results,the factors influencing peoples' recognition of the tailored car service were confirmed,and the cross relationships between these factors were obtained.Additionally,the results were compared with the relevant policies released by the government.The results showed that males were more optimistic about the development of tailored car service.It was found that the frequency of using the tailored car service for males is higher than femals.Moreover,most of males thought that the charge of using tailored car service is reasonable,the tailored car service is safe,and the relationship between the tailored car service and traditional taxis is complementary,support private cars being introduced into the tailored car service.People with high education had positive attidutes to the tailored car service.They also thought that the charge of using tailored car service is reasonable,the tailored car service is safe,and the relationship between the tailored car service and traditional taxis is complementary.The results revealed that the frequency of using Taxi-Hailing Apps had a significant influence on the travel behavior characteristics of when using the tailored car service.The higher the frequency of using Taxi-Hailing App is,the higher the frequency of travelling by using the tailored car service will be.The people's recognition of the tailored car service on safety,charge,and relationship with traditional taxis significantly affected their opinions about the development prospect of the tailored car service.As expected,people with positive and optimistic attitudes were more likely to think that the tailored car service would have a booming development in the future.Finally,based on the above findings,suggestions about the futhre development of the tailored car service on the aspects of efficiency,charge,safety and the relationship with traditional taxis have been put forward.
