The reservoir of Badaowan group in Karamay J block went into operation in 1992.And its'mature area completed the drilling in 1996.Then it experienced continuous extending in eastern from 2003 to 2005and started developing new area in 2006.Since 2008,the water cut of the whole oil field has more than 90%, and production declined rapidly. Therefore, to analyze and guide development, it's very necessary to deepen understanding and establish 3D quantitative reservoir model.Firstly, the paper making a study on structure, strata, sediment, lithology, physical property, oiliness, reservoir characteristics in the study area according to the basic geological date and predecessors'study results. The reservoir of Badaowan group in Karamay J block is a typical heavy oil reservoir. The main oil-bearing strataareJ1b42, J1b52, J1b53, and the reservoir lithology is mainly composed of sandstone, fine sandstone, conglomeratic sandstone and glutenite.Secondly, prepare date for Petrel include the well location coordinates, bushing height, depth, small layer hierarchical data, logging interpretation data and so on.Next, determine the modeling methods and parameters based on the regional geological features and the research data of 3D modeling at home and abroad. The Badaowan group in study area is braided river delta facies, so choose spherical model to establish which has moderate relative randomness. Set the parameters of variogram including the main direction, the secondary direction and the vertical direction of the source, by which the spatial distribution characteristics of geological variables are obtained.Then, establish reservoir 3D geological model with Petrel2009. Firstly, establish structure model based on fault date and hierarchical data. Secondly, establish lithofacies model based on simulation results of Sequential Indicator Simulation (SIS) on reservoir lithology. Finally, establish three-attribute model based on simulation results of Sequential Gaussian Simulation (SGS) on reservoir three-attribute.Finally, analyze and utilize the geological model to study the distribution rule of sand body, analyze oiliness of each layer, calculate reserve, make suggestions for produce, and provide static parameters for numerical simulation.
