Magnetoelectric (ME) effect can be summarized as induced electric moment under an applied magnetic field or induced magnetic moment in external electric field in materials.It's mainly applied in electromagnetic transducer, sensor, transformer,ME conversion element and so on. The ME effect usually uses the product properties of magnetostrictive effect and piezoelectric effect in ME composite materials. We have to consider complex factors that are magnetostrictive properties and the properties of the interface coupling of materials, and these factors have hindered the preparation and development of ME composites. However, there is almost no relevant subject about ME effect which has been driven by other means.In this paper,the primary job are as follows:(1)We designed and developed a ME effect device with ferrite Mn1-xZnxFe2O4 and piezoelectric Pb(Zr1-yTiy)O2 (PZT), and using the single cantilever beam structure.The magnetic force driven ME effect in the device which based on magnetic force and bending piezoelectric effect , and we studied it in the experiment for the magnetoelectric response. It is found that the ME effect is increased 1-2 orders of magnitude compared to layered ME materials which relied on the magnetostrictive effect.(2) We observed the magnetoelectric response of the device by adjusting the size and frequency of alternating magnetic field ,and we also controlled the size and direction of the bias magnetic field. When the direction of bias magnetic field is perpendicular to the U ferrite magnetic core and the size is from 2000e to 6000e, The device can show high magnetoelectric effect.(3) By adjusting the concentrated load at the free end of the cantilever beam, it is found that the concentrated load affects not only the resonant frequency but also the magnetoelectric coefficient. The experiment is determined that the appropriate range of concentrated load is 0<m<3.5g.(4) The design parameters of the magnetoelectric effect device with single cantilever beam structure are optimized by experiments. When the concentrated load is 3.2g and the bias magnetic field is 280Oe, We have measured the resonant frequency f=35 Hz and the magnetoelectric coefficient ?E33 ?141.1 V/cmOe.(5) Analyzing the bending vibration mode of cantilever beam theoretically, combined with the boundary of the conditions and the piezoelectric equations, the paper deduces the equation of resonant frequency and the ME coefficient of the device under the magnetic force. The analysis shows the theoretical support for the observed experimental phenomena.
