Recently, with the development of horizontal wells technology and multi-segments fracturing in unconventional reservoirs, the production of oil and gas in our country has reached a new level. During the development of unconventional reservoirs, it is no doubt that the multi-segments fracturing is the key technology in this process. The interaction and geometry of hydraulic fractures created by fracturing have a significant impact on production. So in my essay, the interaction of multiple hydraulic fractures and propagation is the key point. The main idea and topic will be discussed and displayed as following:(1) Based on homogeneous and isotropic linear elastic media, plane strain model will be set up to discuss the mathematical theory of interaction between hydraulic fractures and propagation with use of the theory of elasticity, fracture mechanics and classic hydraulic fracturing.(2) With the use of numerical theory and MATLAB language, the simulation program is coded to carry out my study.(3) The impact of different hydraulic fracture space, fracture length, Young's modulus, Poisson ration and fluid viscosity put on interaction and propagation of hydraulic fractures will be displayed, at the same time, the graph about the stress and displacement around fractures will be given to illustrate the influence of different condition.(4) The numerical program is applied to simulating the path of hydraulic fracture under different fracturing technique condition.(5) The influence of multiple factors on hydraulic fracture propagation will be analyzed, and regularity understanding of non-planar fracture propagation will be summarized.
