With the rapid development of metallurgical industry,the copper ore resources consumption increased year by year,which brings a series of problems.Firstly,the high grade ore is running out.Secondly,more and more serious environmental problems were caused by metallurgical industry.So there is a great significance for the copper slag to be used cleanly.The traditional slag clean production has a lot of disadvantages,just as highly energy consumption and low efficiency.So a different method of copper slag cleaning production should be developed.XRD analysis indicates that the copper slags is composed of Fe2SiO4 and Fe3O4.Combined with the previous research,the innovative copper slag cleaning method based on slag reduction modification with biochar was provided in the study.First of all,biochar is a renewable resource,which is clean energy and efficiency.Secondly,biochar is sourced from biomass waste.Finally,the preparation of biomass carbon can be combined with the waste heat utilization from the copper smelting process,which realize the high efficiency and yield of carbon conversion then reduce the resource loss.In this paper,the thermodynamic analysis of the ferrous iron reduction process in copper slag was carried out.By analyzing the equilibrium phase diagram of Fe-C-O,the effects of different amountofreducing agents and different reduction temperatures on the reaction equilibrium were analyzed.The results show that low temperature is benefit to the reduction of Fe.1 mol of Fe3O4 can be completely reduced when the addition amount of carbon is 0.5 mol at 1300?.By analyzing the effect of different pyrolysis conditions on the properties of its product-biomass carbon,it was found that the calorie value,the fixed carbon,the ash,the carbon content,the degree of pore structure development,the degree of polymerization and the degree of graphitization of the biomass carbon increased with the increase of the final temperature,where the yield,the volatiles,the hydrogen and the oxygen content declined.It was determined that the product at the termination temperature of 500?-biomass carbon was most suitable for the reduction of molten copper slag.Reduction experimental was investigated in copper smelting slags reduction process using biochar as the reductants.This experiment was studied the influence of molten temperature,carbon/slags mass-ratio,reaction time on the iron valences and also mass transfer.The experimental results indicated that in the copper smelting slags reduction process,traditional reductions could be replaced by biochar.when the carbon/slags ratio was 1.75 wt%,as well as molten temperature was 1300?,iron metallization rate reached 95%and that copper metallization rate coud achieve over 98%.
