Thiosulfate gold leaching is friendly for environment and it can be used for refractory ores,so it has gained extensive attention.But there is no effective method to recovery gold from thiosulfate leaching solution,which makes the leaching be uneconomical compared with the process of carbon in pulp?CIP?,which fails to produce on a large scale.Silica gel has a good adsorption performance,Which is widely used in the adsorption of heavy metal ions in the process.This paper explored the possibility of Silica gel and adsorption of gold from thiosulfate leaching by Silica gel,which is important to promote industrial application for adsorption of gold from thiosulfate leaching.In this paper,different methods to modify Silica gel to improve the adsorption ability for Au?S2O3?23-were introduced.At last,modified Silica gel was prepared,which can effective adsorption of gold.The specific area,total pore volume,and surface chemical property of the modified Silica gel is analyzed by BET and FTIR methods.It discussed the the influence of various ions on the gold adsorption.The results indicated that the original Silica gel was nearly no adsorption capacity for Au?S2O3?23-;The Silica gel with Physical modification,Acid-base modification,Oxidative modification,Metal ion modification,the adsorption capacity of the Silica gel for Au?S2O3?23-has no obvious improvement;The Silica gel with Hexadecyl Trimethyl Ammonium Bromide?Ci9H42NBr?can adsorb gold effectively,through optimization of the Silica gel modifing process,the gold adsorption rate of the modified Silica gel for Hexadecyl Trimethyl Ammonium Bromide?C19H42NBr?was 90.3%.The main influencing factors of adsorption gold by the Silica gel with Hexadecyl Trimethyl Ammonium Bromide?C19H42NBr?shown that,When solution's pH is 5?7.2,the appropriate dissolved oxygen at higher temperature in solution were good for adsorption gold by the Silica gel with Hexadecyl Trimethyl Ammonium Bromide?Ci9H42NBr?.
