Polymer poly(dimethylsiloxane)(PDMS)and poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA)has gradually become very popular material for fabrication of microfluidic chips due to their unique advantages such as nontoxicity,chemical stability,optical transparency and easy fabrication.However,the hydrophobic surface of PDMS and PMMA with a heterogeneous surface charge often results in bad consequence,especially nonspecific adsorption of analytes proteins,which leads to the poor performance of PDMS and PMMA microfluidic chips.For bovine serum albumin(BSA),a 'commonly used modifier,it is often introduced to improve the surface of substrates.However,researchers don't consider whether the existence of surfactants have influence on the self-assembly behavior of BSA onto the surface of PDMS and PMMA.Therefore,it is very important to study the self-assembly behavior of BSA from solution onto PDMS or PMMA surfaces.We systematically investigated the self-assembly behavior of BSA from solution onto PDMS or PMMA surfaces and the effect of surfactants including n-dodecyl-?-D-maltoside(DDM),sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS),n-dodecyltrimethylammonium chloride(DTAC)on BSA self-assembly.The contents of the research are as follows:1.The self-assembly behavior of BSA on PDMS surface was systematically characterized using water contact angle(WCA)and attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(ATR-FTIR),and further using CCD fluorescence images to verify.The results suggested that BSA easily self-assemble into stable amphipathic films that are mainly composed of a-helices and random coils BSA on PDMS surface.In the presence of surfactants such as DDM,SDS and DTAC,the self-assembly of BSA on PDMS was changed.The influence of surfactants on self-assembly of BSA was different,DDM and SDS inhibit the self-assembly of BSA on PDMS,whereas,DTAC promote the self-assembly of BSA on PDMS.2.The self-assembly behavior of BSA on PMMA surface was systematically characterized using WCA and ATR-FTIR,and further using CCD fluorescence images to verify.The results suggested that BSA easily self-assemble into stable amphipathic films that are mainly composed of ?-turns and random coils BSA on PMMA surface.In the presence of surfactants such as DDM,SDS and DTAC,the self-assembly of BSA on PMMA was changed.The influence of surfactants on the self-assembly of BSA was different,DTAC promote the self-assembly of BSA on PMMA,SDS has no significant influence on the self-assembly of BSA on PMMA,whereas DDM inhibit the self-assembly of BSA on PMMA.
