In the recent years,incorporating nanofillers into polymers for preparing composites has attracted extensive interesting.Natural occurred halloysite nanotubes(HNTs)were extensively studied as promising filler for polymer composites.However,the high aspect ratio and high surface area makes it very easy to agglomerate,when used as fillers,it is difficult to disperse in the resin system,which seriously affect the performance of HNTs/polymer composites,In this paper,the HNTs were modified with organic compound and inorganic materials,get the modified HNTs,and then mixed with epoxy resin,obtained the nano composite coating,and the properties of composite coating were researched.In this paper,the halloysite nanotubes(HNTs)were modified with organic compound and inorganic materials to get the modified HNTs,and then mixed them with epoxy resin for obtaining the nano composite coating.The properties of composite coating were researched.Because of the material is halloysite original clays,first of all halloysite nanotube should be Purified.Then modify the activated halloysite nanotube by GPTMS to obtain the organic modified nano powder.First of all,we are use the sol-gel method and chemical precipitation to achieve the TiO2 and Fe2O3 coated the surface of multi-walled halloysite nanotube uniformly,and obtains the TiO2-HNTs and Fe2O3-HNTs cladding material,modified the surface with silane coupling agent(GPTMS).Using X ray diffraction(XRD),TG and environmental scanning electron microscope(SEM)to verify coating results.Compound the modified HNTs,TiO2-HNTs,and Fe2O3-HNTs hybrid material with the epoxy resin to prepare HNTs/EP TiO2-HNTs/EP,and Fe2O3-HNTs composite coatings,and through the MTS test,the wear test.,pressure test,AC impedance test(EIS)and other means to evaluate the flexibility,abrasion resistance,adhesion and corrosion resistance of composite coating.The results showed that:HNTs/EP,TiO2-HNTs/EP,and Fe2O3-HNTs/EP composite coating have been improved compared pure epoxy,in anti-corrosion medium permeability,impact resistance,high temperature and high pressure focus on performance,while the TiO2-HNTs/EP,and Fe2O3-HNTs/EP composite coating compared HNTs/EP coating over performance have improved.
