Nano-silver polymer composites have special physical and chemical properties,including nonlinear optical effect and light energy conversion effect,which have broad application prospects in antibacterial self-cleaning and surface enhanced Raman scattering spectroscopy(SERS).However,due to the synthesis of nano-silver polymer composite material is more complex or costly,large-scale production of nano-silver polymer is not conducive.Atmospheric plasma treatment has the advantages that not only affects the performance of polymer matrix,but also enhances the surface activity of polymer matrix.Atmospheric plasm treatment may be one of the best choice for polymer surface modification.3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane(APTES)as a commonly used silane coupling agent,has a very wide range of uses in industrial production,while its wide range of sources and low prices.APTES has an amino group(-NH2),and has a strong binding force between nano-silver and can be used as the connection of nano-silver to polymers.Copper/silver nano-alloy compared to single nano-silver or nano-copper,exhibited better catalytic,optical and antibacterial properties.The Polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)which shows excellent water-soluble,film-forming,emulsifying,oil-resistant and solvent-resistant properties has a wide range of applications.Atmospheric plasma treatment was used to functionalize the surface of PET,and APTES modified the surface,which could create multiple-NH2 sites,capable of subsequent complex formation with Ag NPs.Compared with plasma or APTES treatment,alone,both adhesion and durability are substantially improved.Ag/PVA,Cu/PVA and AgCu/PVA composite films were prepared via in situ reduction while PVA could show reduction properties.The films were characterized by UV-vis absorption spectroscopy,Scan electron Microscope(SEM),High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy(HRTEM)and XPS.The results showed that when the heat treatment time is 60 min,the reaction was nearly completed,and the copper/silver nano-alloy is uniformly dispersed in the PVA film.The particle size of nano-silver in Ag/PVA film is 7-9 nm,the particle size of nano-copper in Cu/PVA film is 50 nm,and the particle size of silver/copper nano-alloy is 5-20 nm.High-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM)surface,silver/copper nano-alloy in PVA mainly in the surface of Ag atoms wrapped in small clusters of Cu and Ag clusters mixed with the existence of mixed structure,while a small part of the copper-silver Core-shell structure was also existed.
