In a closed municipal sewer, some chemical reactions occur in the operation of sewage pumping station that will bring some malodorous gas. It may affect the quality of living environment among the surrounding residents when it is serious. At present,people's awareness of the public environment is becoming more and more strong, so the problem of malodorous gas in sewage pumping station gets increasing attention.In this paper, a sewage pumping station in Changzhou is selected as the research object. This paper discusses the diffusion rule of malodorous gases in sewage pumping station to provide theoretical basis for the control of same type of sewage pumping station.Firstly, this paper introduces the classification, harm and relevant laws and regulations about malodorous gas. Secondly, Measure concentration of pollutants in sewage pumping station and some rules of pollutant diffusion can be conclude according to the measured data. Thirdly, By simulating the distribution of malodorous gas under the original deodorization system and analyzing the simulation results, this paper concludes that it is necessary to adjust and modify the existing deodorization system in view of the existing problems. Finally,this paper uses Screen3 to estimate the plant concentration, atmospheric environmental protection distance and health protection distance of the sewage pumping station.Based on the study of the distribution of the main malodorous gas H2S in the sewage pumping station, this paper studies the distribution and diffusion rules of malodorous gas,some conclusions are as follows:1? When the temperature is high in summer, sewage pumping station produce more malodorous gases. The diffusion of malodorous gas is proportional to the amount of sewage quantity and sewage flow. Different airflow organization has influence on the diffusion of malodorous gas.2? Existing deodorization system has the following problems: higher concentration of pollution gas in the grid, low dilution capacity of new wind and malodorous gas can not be discharged in time.3?The adjusted deodorization system enhanced the ability to inhibit the diffusion of malodorous gases and the ability of to dilute the malodorous gases by new wind. At the same time,it can from a large area of fresh air vortex in the working area to improve the working environment. In this paper,the adjusted deodorization system can be more effective to control the pollution source.4?The plant's pollutant emission of this sewage pumping station accords with the secondary standard, but the results show that the distance of the maximum drop point of malodorous gas at the downwind direction is 13m. The minimum plant distance can be extended to 13m.5? The minimum distance between the northwest residence community and sewage pumping station is more than atmospheric environmental protection distance,but less than health protection distance.6?The exhaust gas emission port of sewage pump station is located in the Southeast and the northwest wind can prevent stench diffusing to the northwest direction. When consider that the dominant wind direction in Changzhou is the northwest wind, It is suggested that the management room of sewage pumping station should be built in the northwest direction of the pumping station.
