Being having high hardness,high temperature resistance,corrosion resistance,wear resistance and other advantages,SiC ceramic is widely used in national defense,aerospace,automotive and other fields.Because of processing condition and the cost of processing constraints,SiC ceramic in assembly time usually need to be secondary processing,such as drilling,slotting,etc.Due to high hardness and low fracture toughness of SiC ceramic,it belongs to the typical difficult-to-machine materials,so according to the processing property of SiC ceramic,grinding removal mechanism of SiC ceramic,matrix and structure optimization of cutting tool,the wear of cutting tool and propagation law of ceramic cracks were analyzed,the processing technology of SiC ceramic was studied systematically.Main research content of the paper is as follows:(1)The grinding mechanism of SiC ceramic was analyzed.The grinding mechanism of SiC ceramic was studied by theoretical analysis calculation and experimental observation,SiC ceramic material removal way and grinding surface features were analyzed by observation of scanning electron microscopy.(2)The performance of the sintering diamond bit was optimized.On the one hand,sintering diamond bit matrix formula was optimized;On the other hand,wall thickness,grain size,concentration,number of nozzles were analyzed around the machining efficiency by orthogonal experiment,the bit structure with excellent performance for SiC ceramic was obtained.(3)Wear matching relation model of sintering diamond bit and ceramics was established,and the model was verified which based on machining efficiency and working life by experiment,which makes the established model has a guiding significance on the processing of SiC ceramic and other ceramics.(4)In view of cracks and collapse phenomenon in the process of SiC ceramic,SiC ceramic was added the prestressing force device,the prestressing force value was adjusted,the ideal prestressing force value range was obtained which based on collapse ratio and collapse depth.
