The extracting of gold via an efficiency,low toxicity,and selectivity method is vital for mining industry and electronic waster recycling.However,the alkaline cyanide is the most popular method for gold leaching which causes various problems such as the high toxic,energy consumption and environmental pollution.Therefore,it is significance of developing of environmental friendly gold leaching system for mining industry and electronic waste recycling.This paper is based on the research foundation of NBS/Py system for etching precious metal Au rapidly,and obtained ideal leaching results when applied this system in extracting gold form mining and electronic waste.In this paper,we studied on a facile gold leaching method based on the NBS/Py system,and results showed that it is high effective,environmentally friendly method and has great potential for mining and electronic waste.The research is as follow briefly:(1)Gold extraction from low grade gold mining with NBS/Py systemFirstly,this work studied the condition factors on leaching rate of gold,such as pH of solution,concentration of NBS,concentration of Py,stirringspeed,temperature,solid/liquid(S/L)weight ratio and so on.Then we made comparisons on leaching rate differences,cytotoxicity,toxicity for mammals and aquatic animals between NBS/Py system and the traditional leaching systems under the same condition,including KI/I2,thiourea and cyanide.The experiment shows the best leaching pH of NBS/Py system is 8,close to neutral solution.Compared with the traditional systems,NBS/Py system has the highest leaching yield that is approaching to 90%.In the part of toxicity of diluent for mammals and aquatic animals,NBS/Py system exhibits distinct advantages of low toxicity and mild conditions.In base of high leaching yield,we have analysed the selectivity of gold extraction from gold mining,and the results show NBS/Py system has higher selectivity in gold than other mentals.The work of gold extraction from gold mining with low toxcity,speediness and selectivity has a great influence on mining industry.(2)Precious metals extraction from electronic waste with NBS/Py systemOn the basis of the first part,we have applied NBS/Py system in extracting precious metal gold from electronic waste.We choose the CPU pins as the research object.EDX and SEM have been used in the characteristics of CPU pins,and conditions including concentration and temperature,have been optimized by ICP-MS.By optimizing the leaching conditions,NBS/Py system also has high leaching gold ratio from electronic waste,which exhibits immense potential in electronic waste recycling.
