Bimetallic catalysts have received special attention because of their unique physical and chemical properties.Due to there are electronic and geometric effects between the two metals,which will affect the adsorption energy of the reactants and intermediate products on the surface of the catalyst.The bimetallic catalysts exhibit many excellent properties that are different from the monometallic metal.Therefore,this paper investigated the synergistic effect of bimetallic catalysts on the hydrogenation of cinnamaldehyde,and studied the effects of various reaction factors on catalytic performance.This paper synthesized Pd-Au/SBA-15 and Pd-Ni/SBA-15 bimetallic catalysts,and evaluated the selective hydrogenation of cinnamaldehyde.XRF?XRD?N2adsorption-desorption isotherms?TEM and XPS were used to characterize the prepared catalysts.A series of Pd-Au bimetallic catalysts were synthesized on the different support SBA-15?Al2O3?SiO2 and SAPO-34 through the impregnation and hydrogen reduction method,and the result showed that the Pd-Au/SBA-15 has the highest catalytic activity.The catalytic activity of bimetallic catalyst is obviously higher than the monometallic catalyst,which is due to the strong interaction between bimetallic catalysts.Meanwhile,a series of Pd-Ni bimetallic catalysts supported on SBA-15 were synthesized,the 0.2%Pd-1.2%Ni/SBA-15 catalyst had the highest catalytic activity,whichachieved96.3%cinnamaldehydeconversionandthe87.8%hydrocinnamaldehyde selectivity.The effects of Ni content?Pd content?reaction temperature?reaction pressure and reaction time on the hydrogenation performance of cinnamaldehyde were studied.The catalytic results showed that the addition of Ni can greatly improve the catalytic activity of Pd/SBA-15 catalyst.This is because the addition of Ni can enhance the dispersion of Pd nanoparticles and increase the Pd0species on the catalyst surface.
