As an important pillar industry in China,leather processing is one of the thirteen categories of pollution industries that the country mainly monitors.The leather processing production process is cumbersome with many added chemical dosages,so that leather processing enterprises have various kinds of pollution and complex components which are difficult to purify.If leather processing pollution cannot be effectively controlled,it will pose a serious threat to the environmental quality.Therefore,it is of great importance to conduct in-depth study of leather processing technology,analysis of the production and emission of pollutants so as to make the accurate determination of pollution control measures,improve the effectiveness of governance,and reduce environmental pollution.This paper takes a certain leather processing and construction project in Northeast China as the research object.It uses the environmental impact assessment engineering pollution analysis technology to comprehensively analyze the pollution node of the chrome-tanned leather processing technology,the main pollutants of each node and its production.Besides,the material balance method is also used to determine the production.Polluted nodes have a strong source of pollution.This paper combines the pollutant discharge characteristics of all types of pollutants with a rational analysis of major pollution treatment and disposal measures.In addition,it proposes an optimized pollution prevention and control program.The results show that the leather processing wastewater mainly includes hair removal wastewater,grease wastewater,and chrome tanning wastewater.Hair removal process S2-concentration has reached 709mg/L,which can seriously inhibit the sewage biochemical treatment process.Chromium ion concentration of chromium ions in the wastewater is up to 140mg/L.It belongs to the first category of pollutants.The Liming section produces grease wastewater with high concentration of organic matter and high pH value.The hair removal wastewater contains a large amount of protein and should be recycled.According to the different features in the concentration of the two types of sulfur-containing wastewater,an optimized solution for the separate treatment of the high-concentration sulfur-containing wastewater is thus proposed.By applying this solution,the investment in the wastewater treatment project can be reduced by 59%and the operating cost can be reduced by 23%.The volume of solid waste generated from leather processing in the construction project is 1,729.99 t/a,81.7%of which is general solid waste.The hazardous waste is312.88 t/a,accounting for 18.3%of total solid waste.The leather processing exhaust gas mainly includes odor and dust gas.After purification,the NH3 emission is2.25×10-3kg/h,and the H2S is 2.05×10-5kg/h.
